Hi. My name is Renee, I’m a mum of three, a wife to Matt and the owner of Mama & Bump.
Mama & Bump opened in March 2016. During my pregnancies, massages were hard to come by in our household (as wonderful as my hubby is), and oh what I would have done for a back rub, foot rub, come to think of it, any massage! My whole body was aching, especially by the time I had my last baby. I set out to create a cosy place that mums could not only relax, but embrace the journey of pregnancy, feel supported, nurtured, inspired and special all at the same time. Pregnancies can be full of highs and lows and each one is a new and personal experience. I am fascinated and amazed at the very thought of new life and the ability of the female body.
I’m the proud mum of one young lady and two energetic boys. I became a mum at 21 years of age, many years before our friends began to think about starting families. I just couldn’t wait! Matt and I adjusted to parenthood over the next few years before deciding to extend our little family further. We have experienced a miscarriage along the way and our middle child was born with Fibular Hemimelia (absent Fibular bone). My appreciation for the little things in life has shaped me into the person i am today and i am forever grateful for every blessing.
I didn’t always know this was going to be my journey. I attended UniSA straight out of high school, completed a Marketing degree and worked in office jobs for ten plus years. However in 2014 I took the plunge and resigned from my job, decided to follow my dream and began my training in massage.
